Substitutes
Whoever requests vacation or another absence can name a substitute — the colleague who covers during that time. Approvers know whether the work is covered, and the substitute hears about it in time.
Naming a substitute
Section titled “Naming a substitute”-
In the absence request, choose a person under Substitute (optional; “— none —” leaves it empty).
-
Everyone active in your company except yourself can be chosen.
-
Submit the request as usual.
For approvers
Section titled “For approvers”The request shows Substitute: name. If the substitute is away too in the same period (approved or requested), Klokk points it out — worth asking before you approve.
For the substitute
Section titled “For the substitute”- Once approved, the substitute gets a notification (“You cover for …”) by e-mail and, when switched on, by push.
- On the dashboard, Your substitutions lists all upcoming and current substitutions with name and period.
- If the absence is cancelled, the substitute is told too (“No cover needed for …”).
Whether notifications come by push or e-mail, everyone sets in their profile under Notifications → Substitutions.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The substitute sees only the name and period of the absence, not its kind.
- A substitution is a notice, not an approval: the substitute need not agree, and Klokk changes nothing about their times.
