Vacation account
The Vacation account (/leave/account) shows the year’s entitlement, carried days with their expiry date, days taken and planned, corrections and the notices given. Admins book corrections under Admin → Time Analysis → person → Vacation account.
- Entitlement comes from the annual vacation days of the work schedule. Starting after 1 July, the person gets a twelfth per full month (§ 5 (1) a BUrlG); leaving before the waiting period or by 30 June, a twelfth per full month of the year’s employment (§ 5 (1) b, c).
- Parental leave can reduce the entitlement by a twelfth per full calendar month (§ 17 BEEG) — only if the company enables it. Klokk does not detect part-time work during parental leave by itself; see vacation rules.
- Carried days are used first and expire only after a notice given before the deadline (BAG, 19 Feb 2019) — never while the person is sick, on parental leave or in maternity protection on that day.
- Special protection raises the entitlement where the law asks for it: the minimum vacation of young workers (§ 19 JArbSchG) and the extra days for severe disability (§ 208 SGB IX), see Special protection.
- The account starts with the year the company sets under Vacation account in Klokk from year, at the earliest with the start of employment. Klokk does not know remaining days from earlier years — book them once as an adjustment.
