Notifications

Klokk reports important events by e-mail and — if wanted — as a push notification on phone or computer. Everyone sets in their profile under Notifications what they receive and how.

Event To whom E-mail by default Push by default
Leave request approved / rejected the requester on off
Correction request approved / rejected the requester on off
Daily work goal reached the person off off
Shift plan published or changed the people scheduled on off
Substitutions the substitute on off
New requests to decide on whoever decides the request on off
Weekly working-time act overview whoever decides requests on –
Working Time Act violations the person concerned always always

Working Time Act violations are mandatory: whoever exceeds the maximum working time (§ 3 ArbZG) or falls below the minimum rest period (§ 5 ArbZG) is always notified. The switch cannot be turned off.

When a request waits for a decision — an absence, a time correction, an entry added afterwards or a shift swap — the notifications go to:

  1. the managers of the person’s department,
  2. without a department manager, the company’s admins,
  3. otherwise the super admins.

For requests under the four-eyes principle the proposing person is skipped; if nobody is left on a level, the next one is notified.

The weekly working-time act overview comes by e-mail on Mondays to everyone who decides requests: the previous week’s violations among their people. Quiet weeks without violations send no mail.

In a person’s work schedule, admins can switch on Notify on sick report: the admins then receive an e-mail as soon as this person reports sick or recovered. More in Sick notes.

  1. In the profile under Push Notifications, click Enable Notifications.

  2. Allow the browser’s prompt.

  3. In the Notifications table, switch on the events you want in the Push column.

Push applies per device — switch it on once on each phone or computer.

  • E-mail needs mail delivery (SMTP) set up. Without it the table shows “no SMTP”.
  • Push needs HTTPS and a browser that supports web push; Klokk sets up the keys it needs itself.
