Standby and on-site on-call duty
Under Admin → On-call duty admins and managers plan on-call periods for the people whose requests they approve — with start, end (at most 14 days), kind and an optional note. The person sees the running one and those of the next two weeks on the dashboard.
Per department: admins switch on-call duty on under Admin → Departments → (department) → On-call duty. Only people of such departments are planned (people without a department once any department of the company has it). Only managers who lead such a department see the menu entry, and admins when the company has one. Departments that had on-call periods before the update are switched on.
- Standby (Rufbereitschaft): the person is reachable but not at the workplace — that is not working time. Only the deployments count, which the person clocks as usual; Klokk shows the time clocked during standby separately (breaks in proportion). A deployment interrupts the rest period; the Working Time Act checks show it like any working time.
- On-site on-call duty (Bereitschaftsdienst): the person stands by at the workplace — that is working time (CJEU, SIMAP/Jaeger) and is clocked like work; Klokk shows the planned hours as well.
- Periods of the same person do not overlap, do not start after the last day of employment and can neither be added nor deleted in a closed month.
The month’s hours — standby, deployments during it and on-site on-call duty — appear in the month view of the time analysis, the monthly record (PDF) and the payroll CSV (see surcharge hours). Adding and deleting are recorded in the audit log; with DATA_KEY on PostgreSQL the note is stored encrypted like other free texts.
