Signing in & profile
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”On the sign-in page, enter your username or e-mail address and your password — or click Sign in with a passkey.
- Stay signed in keeps the session after the browser is closed (if the installation allows it).
- After several failed attempts Klokk blocks further attempts for a while; failed sign-ins are recorded in the audit log.
Two-factor authentication
Section titled “Two-factor authentication”It is mandatory for admins, super admins and auditors; for managers and employees the installation can require it. After the password (or passkey), Klokk asks for the six-digit code from your authenticator app.
-
On the first sign-in — or in the profile under Two-Factor Authentication — Klokk shows a QR code.
-
Scan it with an authenticator app (for example a password manager app), or enter the key by hand.
-
Confirm with a code from the app.
-
Keep the recovery codes safe: with Use a recovery code instead you get in without your phone.
With Trust this device for 30 days, Klokk asks for the code on this device again only after 30 days. Changing your password or two-factor key ends this trust on all devices.
Passkeys
Section titled “Passkeys”A passkey replaces the password: you sign in with fingerprint, face, device PIN or a security key — on your phone, with a YubiKey or through a password manager.
-
In the profile, open Passkeys → Sign in without a password.
-
Add passkey, give it a name (for example “iPhone”) and confirm the device’s prompt.
-
From now on choose Sign in with a passkey on the sign-in page.
The two-factor check stays — the passkey replaces only the password. Passkeys can be renamed and removed; the list shows when each was last used.
Forgotten password
Section titled “Forgotten password”With Forgot password? on the sign-in page, Klokk sends a reset link to your e-mail address (when e-mail is set up). Without e-mail an admin sets a new password. You change your own password in the profile under Change Password.
The profile
Section titled “The profile”Profile at the bottom of the sidebar leads to your personal settings:
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Language | German or English — for the interface, e-mails and the monthly record |
| Theme | light or dark |
| Timezone | by default “As the company”; change it only if you work in another zone permanently |
| Date format | German, International or System Default |
| Menu Position (Mobile) | menu on the left or right on the phone |

Also in the profile:
- Download my data: everything Klokk stores about you as a JSON file (Art. 15 and 20 GDPR).
- Linked apps: extensions you connected to your account — end a link there (see REST API).
