Bulk entry

Company outing, training day, staff meeting: when many people work the same time on the same day, an admin books it under Admin → Bulk Entry in one step.

  1. Fill in the Time entry: date, start, end, break in minutes, work location and a description (such as “Company outing”).

  2. Choose the Employees — one by one or with Select all. Offered are all active people of the company who record time.

  3. Choose the mode (see below).

  4. Preview & confirm: Klokk shows period, people and mode for a check.

  5. Run now. The result lists per person whether the entry was created, added, replaced or skipped — and errors with their reason.

What happens when someone already has entries on that date:

Mode Effect
Skip People with entries stay unchanged; only people without entries get the new one.
Add The new entry comes on top of the existing ones — useful when someone worked before or after the event.
Replace All of the people’s entries for the date are deleted and replaced by the new one.

The History shows the last 20 bulk entries with date, mode and who ran them. Undo deletes the entries created and, in replace mode, restores the original ones. Undone bulk entries stay visible in the history with their time.

  • In a closed month Klokk refuses bulk entries and undoing them.
  • If the day lies outside the edit window, no bulk entry is possible — changes then need the four-eyes principle.
  • Every bulk entry and every undo is recorded in the audit log.
